Board of Directors, Virginia Dental Association Foundation

Dr. Anne Rowe is a practicing dentist in Williamsburg, VA, and a proud member of the Board of Directors for the Virginia Dental Association Foundation (VDAF). Born and raised in Yorktown, VA, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Virginia before pursuing a Master’s degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Virginia Commonwealth University. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2023. Dr. Rowe furthered her education and commitment to service by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program in Martinsburg, WV, where she provided dental care to disabled veterans. She then returned to Virginia to be closer to family and continue her professional practice.

Dr. Rowe discovered her passion for community service and dentistry during a medical/dental mission trip to Nicaragua while in college. The experience of serving in underserved communities deeply inspired her, leading her to return the following year as the trip leader. While completing her Master’s program in Richmond, she volunteered at a free dental clinic weekly, gaining a firsthand understanding of the critical need for dental care in local Virginia communities. These experiences solidified her dedication to addressing healthcare disparities and helping those in need.

Throughout dental school, Dr. Rowe continued her community-focused work, including serving as the Mission of Mercy Project Coordinator. She is enthusiastic about continuing to give back through her role with the VDAF, where she works to expand access to quality dental care and support oral health initiatives across Virginia.

In her free time, Dr. Rowe enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing volleyball, and painting.

“P.G. grew up in New Jersey, the son of immigrant parents, and in 1944, barely of age, he enlisted in the army, specifically the paratroopers. P.G. was on only his second combat jump when he was captured by German troops and placed briefly in a concentration camp. By the grace of God, this was April,1945, and in approximately one month this camp was liberated by the allies, and P.G. survived.
